2015 Spring Season Highlights

Elite Runners at the Adidas Grand Prix

The ninth annual Grand Prix is one of the premiere track and field events in the world and several representatives of the Elite team had an opportunity to participate with some of the best track and field athletes in the world.  The highlight of the day for Elite started with the 13-14 year old girls 4 x 400 meter relay; Kaylah Davis, Trinity Eason, Zamira Ysaac, and Felicia Quainoo put up a tremendous challenge to the Metro Eagles from New York, whom were also the 2014 champions for the event; the girls finished in a very close 2nd place.  Also participating was our 9 - 10 year old boys 4 x 100 relay; Jacob Rimpel, Varun Panjeti, Harsitt Mittal, and Jalen Edwards cane from behind to finish in a strong 5th place in what was a fast race.  Mameeyah Nyinah competed in the 11 - 12 year old Dream Mile event and performed exceptionally finishing in 3rd place a hair behind the 2nd place finisher.  Allahjah Young-Bey also competing in the Dream Mile finished in 8th place to round out the participants for Elite.  It was a great experience for the athletes to compete in the Grand Prix's and also see some of the best athletes in the world including the incomparable Usain Bolt who electrified the spectators running the 200m race.  Full Results        Photo Gallery
